Regional Government Advocacy Lead

We seek an accomplished Public Policy Specialist to foster trust and collaboration with policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders in Brasilia and national capitals across Latin America.
This role will be based in Sao Paulo or Brasilia and report to the Head of Americas Public Policy.
- Introduce Discord to government policymakers and civil society stakeholders in key markets across the region.
- Develop and execute a multi-year government advocacy strategy that aligns Discord's business goals with evolving regulatory landscapes in those key markets.
- Identify emerging trends in online communications services regulation and create action plans responsive to these trends in coordination with Legal, Product, and Communications teams.
- Advocate for Discord's position on legislative and regulatory initiatives impacting users and business.
- Promote employee awareness and engagement on public policy strategy and priorities.
- Engage in public policy coalitions with peer companies and civil society organizations.
- Coordinate compelling returns from partnerships with non-profits and civil society organizations.
