We are seeking a highly skilled UI Developer to join our Engineering team at SAP SE. As a UI Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering business software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, build, test, and support business software solutions.
- UI Component Optimization: Optimize UI components for performance and accessibility to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Collaboration with Designers: Work closely with UI/UX designers to understand design intent and translate it into clean, well-structured, and maintainable code.
- Agile Development: Attend and contribute to development processes like planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure efficient delivery of software solutions.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit tests and end-to-end workflow testing to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Cloud Development: Execute with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure initiatives.
- Work Breakdown and Estimation: Create detailed work breakdown structures and estimate work effort required for each task with assistance from senior developers.
- Documentation and Communication: Document work estimates, delivery schedules, and test results, and communicate them effectively with stakeholders.
- Code Reviews and Design Reviews: Engage in design reviews and code reviews to receive feedback on the quality of both design and code.
- On-Call Support: Provide on-call support for application software in non-productive environments.
- Mentorship and Teamwork: Mentor junior developers and work in scrum teams by setting positive examples.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, such as computer science or engineering.
- Professional Experience: Professional experience in developing business software in a Software as a Service (SaaS) distribution model using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with technical product managers, architects, and technical leads.
- Secure Coding Practices: Knowledge of secure coding practices, compliance, open-source technologies, and frameworks.
- Programming Skills: Very strong Java programming skills, good understanding of object-oriented programming, and moderate knowledge of SQL.
