We are seeking skilled full-stack developers with expertise in WordPress and modern JavaScript to join our engineering team. As a remote, US-based software company, we deliver high-impact digital experiences for mission-driven organizations and product teams.

The Role

You will work on high-scale web platforms using modern architecture, including headless WordPress setups. Our ideal candidates write clean and well-documented code, collaborate effectively, and own features end-to-end in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement maintainable full-stack solutions
  • Lead or support development of custom WordPress themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks
  • Build scalable headless architectures with WordPress as a backend (REST / GraphQL APIs)
  • Work with modern JavaScript tooling and frameworks (React, Redux, Node.js, Webpack)
  • Manage SQL databases and optimize performance
  • Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, PMs, and QA
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Requirements
  • Advanced level of written and oral English proficiency
  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience
  • Strong experience with PHP and WordPress core development
  • Experience with ACF, WordPress templating, custom post types, and plugin development
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (including ES6+), HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with React (especially Gutenberg block development) and Redux
  • Familiarity with headless architecture, REST APIs, and GraphQL
  • Proficient with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD tools
  • Understanding of accessibility and performance best practices
  • Experience with Agile development processes
  • Strong UNIX/Linux command line skills
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with Alley's Irving framework
  • Experience with Node.js and Express
  • Webpack or other JavaScript build tools
  • Experience with Redux Sagas
  • Cloud infrastructure familiarity (e.g., AWS, Vercel, Netlify)
