Job Overview

The role of Markets Business Controls Management is a critical component in driving the identification and accurate representation of risks and controls. This includes risk and control reporting, ensuring complete and accurate representation of Markets' risks and controls, and reviewing consistency across businesses to identify opportunities for standardization or simplification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Risk Identification & Assessment team in driving the identification and accurate representation of risks and controls.
  • Partner with Markets BCM and central teams to ensure the representation of Markets' risks and controls is complete and accurate.
  • Drive effective and efficient use of the CORE platform in Markets, providing CORE expertise to support the Markets business, managing CORE exception processes, and representing Markets in CIB-wide and Firm-wide working groups to further develop the CORE platform.
  • Complete required risk and control reporting and reviews in a high-quality and efficient way.
  • Enhance risk reviews, including developing analysis of external events and delivering insightful risk reporting on how the risk and control environment is evolving and why.
  • Drive continuous improvements in process efficiency to create capacity and take on new risk reviews as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate the operational risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Analyze metrics for emerging risk.
