About the Role

As an Applied Research Scientist, you will:

  • Design and develop innovative solutions using machine learning and natural language processing techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize research projects.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software delivery pipelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and NLP research.
  • Communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About You

You're a great fit for this role if you have:

Basic qualifications:

  • PhD in a relevant field or Master's with significant industry experience.
  • At least one year of experience building IR/NLP/ML systems.
  • Solid software engineering skills for prototyping.
  • Excellent communication and data analysis skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5+ years of practical experience building IR, ML, or NLP systems in academia or industry.
  • Experience designing and implementing solutions with large language models.
  • Relevant publications in top-tier conferences.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience writing production-quality code and contributing to well-managed software delivery.
