Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer to develop and maintain high-quality backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable, reliable APIs and services using Python and AWS.

  • Develop and deploy cloud-based backend systems that meet performance and scalability requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement API gateways and batch processing jobs.
  • Design and implement secure, efficient infrastructure using cloud-native technologies.
  • Write clean, well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to ensure the highest quality standards.
  • Own features from design to deployment, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for building APIs and services.
  • Solid experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda).
  • Proficiency in SQL databases (Postgres).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
  • Strong grasp of software design principles, API development, and batch job design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
  • Comfort owning systems end-to-end, from design to deployment to monitoring.
  • A quality mindset, valuing clean code, good documentation, and thoughtful testing.
  • Clear communication, async collaboration skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Skills

Bonus points for experience with DICOM-specific frameworks or prior work in performance-sensitive systems.
