Job Opportunity

A prominent AI organization is seeking researchers with expertise in physics and analytical skills to fine-tune and evaluate large language models (LLMs) for complex physics problems.

This challenging role involves assessing and improving LLMs' ability to comprehend and solve multi-step conceptual or quantitative questions in areas such as mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum theory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute tasks that require advanced problem-solving skills, including calculating the probability of a high-energy pion decaying within a specified distance from its origin or finding the joint probability distribution of scaled times for 1D Brownian motion.
Candidate Profile:
  • Academic Background: PhD/Postdoc in Physics, Applied Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex physics problems using clear and structured reasoning.
  • Excellent communication skills for explaining intricate topics and providing feedback with precision.
  • Research independence with the ability to work independently in a remote research environment and participate actively in team discussions.
Work Arrangement & Contract Details:
  • Time Commitment: at least 4 hours per day and minimum 20 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST.
  • Engagement type: Contractor assignment/freelancer (no medical/paid leave).
  • Duration of contract: 1 month.
