Key Responsibilities
  • Business Office Management
  • Lead and oversee the business office functions, including resident, employee, and vendor inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate collection and maintenance of resident data, aligning with company policies.
  • Direct management of front desk/clerical personnel involves scheduling, performance reviews, hiring, and discipline.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director on community operations, reviewing billing issues, expenditures, and advising on budgetary matters.
  • Manage accounts receivable, pursuing unpaid balances and following up on outstanding amounts.
  • Accurate coding of accounts payable and accruing expenses as needed is crucial.
  • Maintain employee data related to demographics, payroll, benefits, and leave administration.
  • Primary responsibility for assisting with the month-end close process, including accrual preparation and analysis of general ledger/monthly operating statements.
  • Special projects, requests, and assignments are part of the role.
Qualifications
  • A minimum Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field, and two years of experience in business office functions are required.
  • Three to five years of experience in business office management, finance, or accounting is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting, billing, and collections practices is essential.
  • Understanding of federal and state employment laws is necessary.
  • The ability to communicate clearly through spoken word and accurately under stressful conditions is vital.
  • Past performance management skills, including communication of expectations, coaching, and documenting performance issues, are desirable.
  • Budget analysis and variance reporting capabilities are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operation of standard office equipment are necessary.
