Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

This is a procurement position within a global logistics company. The role involves sourcing products, systems and services from external partners while leveraging modern digital tools and technologies.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement, transportation, logistics, supply chain or related functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Benchmark prices in the market to ensure compliance with the sourcing strategy.
  • Develop and refresh the supplier base to meet business needs.
  • Seek innovative ways to operate freight.
  • Manage the contract and price list lifecycle.
  • Apply strategic sourcing methodology to achieve cost savings.
  • Monitor and manage global, regional and local KPIs for the category.
  • Implement Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) practices.
  • Collaborate with other countries to share best practices and category strategies.
  • Travel occasionally for business meetings and training.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Provide advice and support to internal customers on specifications.
  • Contribute to the success of the sourcing community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • +10 years of experience in procurement, transportation, logistics, supply chain or related functions.
  • Solid background in stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in English required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Strong communication style and analytical skills.
