About the Role: As a seasoned expert in edge network engineering, you will be responsible for leading complex deployments of edge computing infrastructure, cloud integration, and SD-WAN platforms.

This position requires technical leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive both technical workstreams and customer expectations forward.

The Edge Network Engineer position involves designing, implementing, and configuring standardized networks across routing protocols, switching, and security methodologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading customer deployments of edge computing infrastructure, cloud integration, and SD-WAN platforms
  • Acting as a technical point of contact for end-to-end implementation activities
  • Troubleshooting deployment issues across operating systems, hypervisors, containers, and networks
  • Developing automation scripts and reusable tooling
  • Mentoring junior engineers

Qualifications:

  1. Extensive experience in Linux system administration and troubleshooting
  2. Proficiency with Type 1 and Type 2 hypervisors
  3. Familiarity with containerization technologies
  4. Strong understanding of networking principles
  5. Hands-on experience configuring and managing network interfaces
  6. Prior experience with SD-WAN deployment and management
  7. Proficiency in using tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, iptables, netstat, and other network diagnostic utilities

Preferred background includes:

  • 5+ years in edge infrastructure deployment, implementation engineering, or similar technical field
  • Experience supporting or deploying edge orchestration platforms
  • Experience with zero-touch provisioning, telemetry pipelines, or site/network architecture at the edge
