We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to play a pivotal role in our international expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Elevate our localization workflows by designing and maintaining a robust automation framework.
  • Analyze new features and products to ensure seamless global deployment.
  • Create innovative backend services for international use cases, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Maintain and evolve our architecture, including monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Collaborate closely with our fast-growing team of business stakeholders and product leaders.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience building and maintaining scalable systems leveraging complex data modeling.
  • Thrived in large engineering organizations, influencing other teams and working collaboratively.
  • Excelled in cross-functional teams, working fluidly with Product Managers, Data Scientists, Mobile Engineers, and other specialists.
  • Experience launching products internationally and solving associated problems.
  • Expertise in building backend services, platforms, and tools to serve developers.
  • Exposure to iOS, Android, Web, and server internationalization best practices, libraries, and tools.
  • Recent hands-on experience coding and reviewing code, designing and architecting systems and APIs.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with experience documenting and presenting to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional programming experience in mobile (iOS, Android) and back-end development (Scala, Java).
  • Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with a Translation Management System (TMS), CLDR, ICU, or similar.
