Job Summary:
This role involves working as part of a newly created quality team for a client, focusing on incorporating quality assurance throughout the software development process. The successful candidate will contribute to various quality fronts, including test plan preparation, automation of test scenarios, bug identification and resolution, and alignment with developers to adopt best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for ReactJS, TypeScript, and Python-based applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and translate them into effective test plans.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using appropriate testing frameworks and tools.
- Conduct thorough functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Perform performance, security, and usability testing.
- Analyze test results and identify defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Propose innovative testing approaches and tools to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date with testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a SDET with a strong foundation in software testing methodologies and practices.
- Hands-on experience with testing ReactJS, TypeScript, and Python-based applications.
- Experience with Microservices and Infrastructure as Code/config management tools.
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, such as Cypress or Playwright with JS.
- Familiarity with JavaScript or Python programming languages.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with prompt engineering (ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot) is a plus.
