A senior role awaits an expert in DevOps and IaC engineering, who will play a key part in designing, implementing, and maintaining our global hybrid compute and storage services.
- Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing infrastructure automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, and Chef to manage cloud-based and on-premises environments.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, develop architecture designs, and implement scalable solutions ensuring seamless transitions from development to production.
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management.
- Conducting regular code reviews, performing testing, and maintaining documentation to ensure reliability and repeatability of infrastructure deployments.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to infrastructure automation, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Facilitating improvements to platform stability and site reliability by collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders across the organization.
- Acting as a hands-on technical advisor, mentoring peers, and providing technical guidance on best practices for infrastructure automation and DevOps processes.
- Designing and implementing automation improvements to support large-scale Linux, Windows, SAN storage, and virtualization environments (e.g., Nutanix, VMware).
- Performing provisioning and automation enhancements via scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and centralized management tools (e.g., Chef).
- Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 5+ years of experience in a similar role focused on infrastructure automation and IaC.
- Expertise in using infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to manage cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and configuration management tasks.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and infrastructure architecture.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to system monitoring and performance tuning.
- Strong operating systems management skills, with a proven background in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration, Windows administration experience a plus.
- Experience supporting virtualized environments on centralized storage (e.g., Nutanix, VMware vSphere).
