Job Summary:
As a Commercial Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and developing contracts within the US business unit. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate preparation of client contracts in adherence with US policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a high volume of contracts for all sizes (large complex and small standard) with minimal guidance and in accordance with expected turnaround times.
- Draft and review legal and business terms under the guidance of the contract playbook, as well as attorney support as needed.
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for review and negotiation of standard and non-standard contracts; liaison with Legal, Finance and other teams within the organization to accommodate internal and external changes to standard terms and conditions to efficiently close a mutually acceptable contract.
- Develop broad knowledge of the US Business Line and each service line and their respective products/services through the review and preparation of agreements, as well as formal and informal learning opportunities.
- Prepare client statements of work, amendments and other client correspondence as needed under supervision while identifying potential risks associated with terms and conditions to minimize risk(s) for the organization and business teams.
- Communicate/articulate concerns to appropriate IQVIA legal and business representatives.
- Leverage business experience utilizing business acumen to identify solutions to address client concerns while aligning to business objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 5-7 years drafting/reviewing/redlining/negotiating contracts preferably within a corporate legal department or contracts administration department or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Fluent English: speaking, reading and writing skills - MANDATORY;
- Strong project management expertise combined with excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills required with problem solving ability.
- Understanding of data, services and technology a plus.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry a plus.
- SharePoint experience a plus
- People management experience a plus
- Ability to learn quickly
- Strong business acumen; ability to exercise good business judgement
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaboration with contracts team colleagues and maintaining good working relationships with internal clients
- Time management skills; ability to handle high volume requests critical
- Excellent organization skills; project management experience a plus
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
