AIG’s underwriting teams provide innovative insurance solutions across various sectors, including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. We are revolutionizing how we help customers manage risk, transforming our operating model, and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow your own book of business in commercial property, incorporating broker engagement, loss prevention, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop key broker relationships and attract new business in the large and middle market accounts area.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team and across the organization to develop and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Work with brokers to determine insurance needs and provide solutions.
  • Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated underwriting frameworks, administering underwriting guidelines and regulations.
  • Communicate and collaborate across the organization – Claims, Product Management, Loss Control, Legal, Distribution – to provide solutions and recommendations.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience underwriting property lines in the middle market or large account segments.
  • Experience working with loss control engineering data in a property underwriting context.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and in a team to accomplish goals.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and marketing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced English skills.
