Grooming Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Snowcat Operator to join our team at Mt. Bachelor. As a key member of our snow operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our snow surfaces.

1. Snow Surface Management: Operate Prinoth and PistenBully snowcats at night to create a safe and consistent riding surface.
2. Communication and Collaboration: Work and communicate with other departments, including Lift Maintenance, Lift Ops, Lift Access, Patrol, Snow Removal, Terrain Parks, Building Maintenance, Electrical, and Vehicle Maintenance.
3. Equipment Maintenance: Check tracks and all components of the machine, monitor service hours, and notify when service is needed.
4. Project Management: Assist with dozing projects for padding and/or grading, and build/install hoses as required.
5. Emergency Response: Monitor weather conditions to make safety calls for Patrol and Lift Maintenance.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions.
• Knowledge of snow science and ability to discuss snow science information from the Grooming Manual.
