Job Title: Embedded Linux Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Linux Systems Engineer to join our team at Variscite LTD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in embedded Linux development and a strong background in C programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain open-source software for our System on Modules (SoMs), including U-Boot, Linux, Yocto, and Debian.
  • Port and integrate U-Boot, kernel, and device drivers for our BSP development.
  • Perform board bring-up, debugging, and validation of new hardware.
  • Write technical documentation for our wiki and present technical webinars to share knowledge and expertise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in embedded systems development, with a strong focus on Linux.
  • Extensive experience in embedded C development at the kernel and userspace level.
  • Proven experience in board bring-up (BSP) and device driver development.
  • Expertise in working with embedded Linux, scripting, and Open Source projects.
  • Familiarity with Yocto Project, Debian, and Boot2Qt BSPs.
  • Hands-on experience with NXP i.MX, TI AM6, or similar SoCs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.Sc in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
