The World Bank Group is seeking a highly skilled professional to join its team as an Investment Officer.

Job Description

This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams and professionals who have expertise in regions or sectors where the organization operates. The goal is to maximize intervention and contribute to regional and sectoral development by executing PPP advisory mandates with clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the implementation of advisory mandates;
  • Preparing reports and interacting with clients;
  • Financial modeling, drafting Terms of Reference, and supervising consultants;
  • Business development, transaction execution, and coordinating with colleagues;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • An MBA or equivalent degree in business, finance, or economics;
  • At least 4-7 years of experience in business consulting, project finance, investment banking, and/or infrastructure economics;
  • A deep understanding of the infrastructure business and experience working with different sub-sectors;
  • A strong track record of contractual and financial closings of infrastructure transactions;
  • Experience managing diverse project teams;
  • Proficiency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
