As a Quality Assurance Supervisor at SABIC, you will be responsible for overseeing the Quality and Color Development lab activities, including raw material and finished goods evaluation, new color developments, and small sampling. You will also be responsible for ensuring that quality and safety rules and applicable regulations are followed in the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the operational activities of the Quality Assurance Laboratory, including management and reporting of lab KPIs, root cause investigation of internal and external non-conformances in raw materials and finished products.
- Work with and support other manufacturing or production personnel in the assessment of materials that do not meet requirements, making recommendations for rework or disposal.
- Procure lab materials, equipment, and overall improvements to the laboratory, with prior authorization from the Quality and Plant Managers.
- Oversee and manage staffing for the Quality Lab, setting priorities based on work planning and goals, adjusting staffing to reflect changing priorities, training the workforce, managing overtime, and addressing employee satisfaction concerns.
- Ensure that the ISO 9001 Quality Management procedures, quality internal controls, and applicable OMS standards are followed, serving as the focal point for internal or external quality audits.
- Participate in organizational activities and programs, such as EHSS and Continuous Improvement initiatives, and participate in activities and functions required for the Integrated Management System, Corporate programs, local certifications, and applicable legislation.
- Manage lab requests and prioritization, new color developments, and small sampling to internal customers, serving as the focal point for UL audits, leading the process of FUS submission and non-conformance investigation.
- Graduation in Engineering preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in successfully managing teams.
- Advanced level of English skills (fluent is a plus).
- Solid knowledge of quality and color development processes.
- Demonstrated quality systems-related tools skills (8D, MSA, ISO).
- Knowledge of production processes and SABIC ETP products.
Full-time on-site job.
