Key Responsibilities:
  • Creation of animation behavior tools and techniques that enable the building of complex movement systems.
  • Design and implementation of animation state machines, behaviors, and runtime solutions.
  • Collaboration with the Animation, Design, and Engineering departments to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve in-game animation implementation issues and animation-related technical challenges.
  • Collaborative work with animation leadership to maintain style and quality standards for animations in the game.
  • Opportunities to improve the animation pipeline and workflow, as well as provide solutions for technical animation problems, including training and documentation for the animation team.
Requirements:
  • A strong understanding of realistic and stylized character motion and its achievement using modern animation methods.
  • Expertise with animation pipelines, source content creation tools such as Maya, MotionBuilder, and Unreal Engine, utilizing Control Rig toolsets.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with strong written communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with gameplay animation tools and concepts, including blend trees and state machines; experience with Unreal Engine Animation Blueprints is beneficial.
  • Experience working on AAA game development projects, preferably in large teams using established game engines (internal or commercial); Unreal Engine experience is advantageous.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Optional coding knowledge or experience with C++.
