We are seeking an experienced User Experience Researcher to join our team. As a key member of the user research function, you will be responsible for leading and executing end-to-end research studies using various methodologies.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user research, including experience with qualitative and quantitative techniques. You will be responsible for analyzing and synthesizing player data to uncover insights on preferences, behaviors, and pain points. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize research needs and align with project goals.

You will champion a player-first mindset across the organization by advocating for evidence-based decision-making. Your role will also involve translating research findings into actionable recommendations for game design, product, and publishing teams.

A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will lead and mentor a team of user researchers, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality output.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and synthesize player data to uncover insights on preferences, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Plan and execute end-to-end research studies using surveys, focus groups, interviews, playtests, and other methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize research needs and align with project goals.
  • Champion a player-first mindset across the organization by advocating for evidence-based decision-making.
  • Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for game design, product, and publishing teams.
  • Lead and mentor a team of user researchers, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality output.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree completed.
  • 8+ years of experience in user research, including 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity; hands-on experience with both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Skilled in designing and conducting surveys, FGDs, interviews, and usability studies.
  • Strong ability to communicate insights clearly and persuasively to non-research audiences.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and collaborating across departments.
  • Passion for games or strong understanding of gaming culture and player motivations.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the gaming or entertainment industry.
  • Proficiency with research tools like Qualtrics, SPSS, Dovetail, or similar.
