Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist 1 to join our team at Polytechnic University Of The Philippines. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, and commissioning automation instrumentation and control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation systems, including programming and testing of PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems.
- Collaborate with electrical designers and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
- Prepare technical documents and design specifications for control systems and installations.
- Write reports, user manuals, procedures, and qualification protocols.
- Manage project duties, including specifying, ordering, creating, and maintaining punch lists, attending review meetings, and undertaking or giving training courses.
- Develop database and interface applications that integrate clients' control systems with their production and data management systems.
- Program and combine various automation technologies, including robots, vision systems, PLCs, HMIs, etc., into highly integrated systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechatronics or Instrumentation Engineering or Technology, or related field.
- Experience in PLC or HMI SCADA programming of industrial control systems.
- Background and hands-on experience in electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
- High attention to detail.
- People skills, ability to work effectively with other engineers and management.
- Willingness to be assigned in any part of the country.
