Backend Engineering Leadership Opportunity

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to lead our team's technical initiatives and design high-performance backend systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable solutions, develop clean code, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead technical initiatives and design scalable, high-performance backend systems.
  • Code Development: Develop clean, efficient code for our technology stack.
  • Mentorship: Inspire and mentor tech team members, fostering growth and best practices.
  • System Optimization: Enhance system performance for seamless user experiences.
  • Integration: Work with teams and stakeholders for smooth system integration.
  • Emerging Technologies: Apply emerging technologies to improve capabilities and industry impact.
  • Best Practices: Collaborate to set company standards and foundations for new software development.
  • Strategic Roadmap: Define and focus on the company-wide technical strategy.

Requirements:

  1. Deep knowledge of the Microsoft .NET platform or willingness to learn.
  2. Proven experience with multiple programming languages, designing, implementing, and scaling distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  3. Experience with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  4. Experience with DevOps practices and containerization technologies.
  5. Ability to work autonomously on complex tasks, considering performance, security, observability, and code quality.
  6. Passion for monitoring and troubleshooting production systems, making data-driven decisions.
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse audiences.
  8. Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, with a relevant degree preferred.
  9. Fluency in English.
