Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Credit Risk Expert to join our team. As a key member of the Institutional Credit Management organization, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class credit risk analysis and monitoring across wholesale lending.

Your primary focus will be on a portfolio of ICG Risk Relationships, where you will own the Credit Risk Analysis and continuously monitor that portfolio. This includes producing Annual Reviews, Quarterly Reviews, and supporting Ad-Hoc Transactions and Portfolio & Industry Reviews and Stress Testing.

This role has responsibility for the Consumer, Retail and Health Care (CR&H) Relationships and reports directly to the ICG Risk Analysis (IRAU) CR&H Credit Risk Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the credit and financial strength of Citi's Large Corporate, Public Sector, and Financial Institutions Clients by performing fundamental credit analysis using both quantitative and qualitative factors.
  • Complete Credit Analysis Write-up Memos and Final Obligor Risk Ratings based on independent assessment and judgement.
  • Continuously monitor the covered portfolio, including following industry trends and impacts to key relationships, and escalating potential credit issues.
  • Partner with regional and industry stakeholders in implementing credit assessment and monitoring standards.
  • Support Voice of the Employee (VOE) initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstratable financial services experience, including 2-3 years of credit experience in Banking or Credit Risk Management.
  • Knowledge of Wholesale Credit Processes and organizational awareness.
  • Understanding of policies and procedures with ability to execute change seamlessly.
  • Intermediate analytical skills, including an understanding of key financial components.
  • Thorough knowledge of systems.
  • Experience in preparing presentations for seniors.
