Job Title: Vice President of Intellectual Disability and Autism Services

Access Services is seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to serve as Vice President of Intellectual Disability and Autism Services. This key role will oversee the organization's programs serving individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism, providing strategic leadership and management to drive continuous improvement, quality growth, and workforce development.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the intellectual disability and autism division, overseeing leadership teams and advancing the mission and objectives of the organization.
  2. Represent programmatic needs and concerns to the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
  3. Develop new program initiatives and respond to requests for proposals.
  4. Participate in the development and implementation of the strategic plan and business plan with the management team and board.
  5. Cast a vision for the division around strategy and innovation.
  6. Lead in organizational vision and strategic planning as a part of the Agency Executive Team.
  7. Act as a systems advocate and organizational representative at local, state, and national levels.
  8. Maintain involvement in Peer Review, Incident Management Compliance, and Quality Assurance committees.
  9. Ensure compliance with all regulatory expectations and ensure the health and safety needs of individuals being served are met.
  10. Ensure facilities are well maintained and safe at all times.
  11. Empower program leaders to have clarity on expectations and reliable processes for tracking and improving program performance.
  12. Ensure value through continuous quality improvement using data to empower change decisions.
  13. Ensure policy improvement and compliance reflecting industry best practices and care for the workforce.
  14. Empower excellence in incident management and risk management by ensuring best practice standards are clear for the workforce.
  15. Partner closely with Agency operational resources to enhance processes and return on invested resources.
  16. Oversee the financial investment in the Division to ensure maximum value.
  17. Lead the Division's human talent in a way that builds leaders and maximizes outcomes for those served.
  18. Inspire leadership development through proximity with all levels of the workforce.
  19. Instill the mission, vision, and values of Access Services through all staff in the division.
  20. Receive feedback from the consumer population to drive continuous process improvement.
  21. Ensure strong program leadership through program monitoring efforts and realize improvement through leadership development and coaching.
  22. Create and support external partnerships that enhance outcomes for those served.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field, including human services, social work, psychology, or special education.
  2. Master's degree preferred.
  3. Ten (10) years of experience in mental health, intellectual disabilities, autism, or healthcare.
  4. Five (5) years of industry-related progressive leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, business associates, state and county officials, and the general public.
  3. Ability to effectively work as part of a team.
  4. Ability to work independently.
  5. Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  6. Demonstrated analytical skills.
  7. Knowledge of budget, state licensing regulations, county systems, and family dynamics.
  8. In-depth knowledge of business practices related to the social services nonprofit sector.
  9. Commitment to proficiency in, or ability to learn and use, workplace applications, platforms, and technologies.
Work Environment:

Work in a standard office environment, utilizing desktop computer equipment on a daily basis. Able to lift or move items associated with sedentary work and light work (exert up to 20 lbs.). Routinely travel to offsite locations and regional office locations.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary for this role starts at $100,000 with increases based on education and experience.
