Finance Associate

This role supports the day-to-day functions of the Finance department, including recording, reporting, and analysis of financial data. The successful candidate will create value-added analysis to support Management in decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile and analyze account information.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc management information reports and spreadsheets, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
  • Accurately enter key data into our accounting and financial systems.
  • Maintain records and document financial processes.
  • Maintain an effective internal controls environment by following all policy and procedural statements, and requesting clarification when guidance is unclear.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis on an as-requested basis.
  • Analyze trends, revenue & cost, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future outcomes.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in your area of responsibility while minimizing risk and cost.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • One (1) or more years of experience.
  • Professional certification preferred.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security principles.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, cash flow, and familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
  • Capacity to analyze, interpret, and report financial data.
  • Accurately and efficiently input financial data into spreadsheets or accounting system. Complete high-quality account reconciliations.
  • Technically proficient with financial and accounting systems and strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and data visualization tools and software.
  • Analyze large datasets and identify patterns and trends.
  • Communicate basic insights from data analysis.
Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Ability to demonstrate independent, objective, open-minded thinking with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Takes responsibility for his/her actions, behaviors, decisions, and results while holding self and team members accountable.
  • Meets expected levels of acceptable work quality (accuracy, completeness, & timeliness).
