Android Core Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to support our growing user base and contribute to new projects.

This role is ideal for individuals who think strategically, thrive in fast-paced environments, and possess experience creating exceptional user experiences that delight users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Owning major features and collaborating closely with our design team
  • Shaping the future of our Android team
  • Ownership and improvement of reliability metrics for key features
  • Participation in discussions across different teams - Product, Design, Engineering
  • Reviewing pull requests and supporting other teammates
  • Handling critical issues or coping with unexpected challenges
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience
  • Familiarity with Android components
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app
  • Product design intuition and user empathy
  • Drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX
  • Understanding of the importance of tests and how to approach writing tests
  • Self-motivation to improve the app and codebase above and beyond what's outlined in the spec
  • Rock-solid experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests
