Join a team of innovative project engineers in Amazon Logistics' Emerging Countries Engineering department.

As part of this team, you will be responsible for launching new delivery stations and operational processes in Brazil. This involves managing building launch schedules, coordinating with suppliers and vendors, and supporting the design and optimization of building infrastructure and material handling equipment within our logistics network.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experience as an industrial or operations engineer in a manufacturing environment. Advanced proficiency in English is also required.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL, as well as experience managing third-party vendors and knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles.

This role is based in Brazil and involves regular travel within the country and occasional international travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting site selection and evaluation through drafting test fit layouts and researching building and site information.
  • Preparing specifications and technical details for building environment, equipment, materials, processes, and services.
  • Reviewing technical documentation to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Participating in cross-functional infrastructure projects, providing technical input, and conducting value engineering/analysis.
  • Driving continuous improvement in team processes to save time and costs.
  • Leading or working independently in project teams comprising project managers, engineers, and contractors.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience as an industrial or operations engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Program or project management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at an intermediate level.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
