We are seeking a skilled Tax Specialist to join our team. This is a key role that requires in-depth knowledge of Brazilian tax laws and regulations.
- Analyze and interpret complex tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments to maintain the company's tax compliance status.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks to minimize potential financial losses.
- Prepare calculations of direct and indirect taxes, including accurate identification of taxable income and expenses.
- Prepare and review direct and indirect tax returns, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform tax bookkeeping, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all tax-related transactions.
- Support audit processes by providing timely and accurate information to auditors.
- Contribute to the improvement of automation processes and initiatives in the tax department, enhancing efficiency and reducing errors.
- Participate in projects related to tax analysis and planning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in tax analysis or a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Brazilian tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in SAP system or other relevant tax software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Intermediate English language skills, with ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Additional certifications or experience in tax compliance and audit processes would be advantageous.
- Solid understanding of the Brazilian tax system and regulations.
