Infrastructure Solutions Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy and manage our runtime infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cloud and On-prem infrastructure and be able to plan and implement container orchestration and service mesh architecture.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Technology Department to ensure that our infrastructure is secure, scalable and cost-efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy and operate our runtime infrastructure
- Plan and create the vision for our container orchestration and service mesh architecture
- Design, deploy and maintain multi-account AWS Organisation architecture
- Think about scale, reliability and cost efficiency for our infrastructure
- Maintain optimal observability on system and application availability and performance (logs, metrics, alerts)
- Attain optimal levels of security and scalability
- Automate all routine work (toil), eliminating human intervention from repetitive mechanical activity
- Perform regular maintenance and housekeeping, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware resources, systems and processes
- Rollout software patches and upgrades, ensuring the infrastructure is kept secure and compliant with best practices
- Investigate issues to their root cause and resolution
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar role
- Expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.) and managing AWS Organisation and accounts
- Experience with on-premises infrastructure and its integration with cloud services
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)
- Experience with Helm for managing Kubernetes applications and service mesh technologies, specifically Istio
