The successful candidate will be responsible for onboard processing, QC, and management of acquired data, including hydrographic and bathymetric data, and the production of associated charts.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect raw data quality and inform the supervisor if it does not meet standards.
- Review survey logs compiled by data acquisition crews.
- Process acquired data sets using company software.
- Keep processing logs up to date and record offsets used during processing.
- Discuss processing requirements with teams and advisers.
- Prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Follow predefined processing sequences from procedures or supervisor instructions.
- QC datasets at each stage to ensure data integrity.
- Discuss final deliverables with the supervisor regularly.
- Adhere to company standards to maintain quality management systems.
- Create or amend charts as per project requirements.
- Participate in Quality and HSE systems and procedures.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Bilingual in Portuguese and English (strongly preferred).
- Degree in Geomatics, Surveying Science, or related field.
- Relevant industry, military, or academic experience in survey disciplines.
- Satisfactory completion of competence criteria for Data Processor Grade II.
- Approximately 12 months of experience, including 80 offshore operational days as a Data Processor Grade II.
