Operating Room Technician

The Operating Room Technician supports the surgical team by preparing and maintaining a safe environment for patients undergoing surgery. This includes selecting and assembling equipment, instruments, and supplies as well as performing counts to ensure accuracy.

• Prepare operating room for procedures by setting up and arranging equipment and supplies.
• Assemble and maintain surgical trays and carts with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Count and verify instruments, sponges, and needles before and after each procedure.
• Maintain sterility of operating field by controlling contamination and disposing of waste.
• Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures as needed.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• 1-3 years of experience in healthcare or related field.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
