Lead Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starting individual with a strong sense of ownership and an insatiable desire to learn. In this individual contributor role, you will design, build, and optimize robust data pipelines and scalable architectures that drive our business forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Build reporting that displays actionable insights for stakeholders and communicate results across various audiences.
  • Provide recommendations by interpreting disparate data and translating ad hoc requests.
  • Serve as a liaison between teams to understand data needs.
  • Ensure quality control over data, analyses, and metrics.
Requirements
  • Critical thinking skills to determine the best way to structure data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present data-heavy information.
  • Comfortable with change and inquisitive.
  • Organized and strategic with analysis/reporting aligned with business needs.
  • Takes initiative and proactively communicates with the team.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
  • 2-4 years of experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Alteryx.
  • SQL experience with a deep understanding of relational databases.
  • Excel experience.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; business background preferred.
