Job Title: Strategic Business Product Owner

About the Role

The strategic business product owner is a key global contact for our laboratory information management system project. This role bridges business and technology, shaping the product vision and roadmap while driving LIMS enhancements and ensuring organizational objectives alignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy, aligning with business goals and site needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define product specifications
  • Drive key decisions for product design and author business requirements
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring features meet user needs and deliver maximum business value
  • Lead the development lifecycle of LIMS projects, from concept through implementation and ongoing support
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions
  • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to drive innovation and gather stakeholder input
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators related to LIMS operations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in product management or ownership, with a focus on laboratory systems or related technology
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, data management practices, and regulatory compliance within laboratory environments
  • Proven track record of leading complex software development projects within an Agile framework
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders across all levels of the organization
