Job Title: Technical Quality Assurance Lead

This role requires an expert in land development plan submissions, quality assurance, and technical standards. The ideal candidate will lead the QA/QC process, improve technical standards, and eliminate design issues.

  • Perform independent technical review of land development plans, ensuring they meet project requirements and reduce costs.
  • Identify potential design or constructability issues and provide value engineering solutions.
  • Ensure the quality of project deliverables by verifying design and code requirements have been defined.
  • Collaborate with project managers and multi-disciplined design teams to foster an environment of technical excellence.
  • Lead regular training sessions to develop staff skills and knowledge.
  • Provide guidance on design and production of technical deliverables.
  • Balance workload in a deadline-driven environment and manage a small team.
  • Travel to other offices when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • 10+ years' experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential and commercial/industrial/office site design and permitting experience)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration (optional)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/Land Development Desktop
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Proficient grading and drainage design skills
  • Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team
