Data architects will develop, implement, and refine the standards, tools, and methodologies for the desired analysis environment. Their expertise will create a strong data foundation within the organization, keeping everyone informed and moving forward.
Responsibilities:- Define and implement scalable and flexible data analytics architecture based on current and future business needs using Databricks platform
- Build and optimize complex data pipelines, and ETL processes for processing large-scale datasets
- Integrate, consolidate, cleanse, and structure large data sets to enable business insights, reporting, and ML/AI use cases
- Deliver business insights by consolidating various data sources to understand business performance
- Sourcing, collecting, and researching new internal and open-source external data sets
- Define and implement data governance processes
- Plan and prepare data engineering and analysis work between technical teams
- Engage with business stakeholders to prepare and coordinate data sharing and data transfer activities
- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of ML/AI models
- Bachelor's degree in physics, math, computer science, or a related field
- Professional experience in related roles and/or demonstrated competency utilizing relevant technologies
- Good understanding of concepts and technologies underpinning modern data platforms (storage, compute, etc.) and how they fit into the bigger picture
- Experience in cloud technologies, data modeling, and designing/implementing scalable and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Understanding of ML/AI and MLOps challenges
- Familiarity with Databricks is a plus
- Understanding and experience in solving data governance challenges utilizing modern technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical issues, solutions, and results to a non-technical audience
- Strong proficiency in both English and Portuguese is required, Spanish language skills are a plus
