About the Role

DanChurchAid is seeking a highly skilled Financial Advisor to join its Headquarters in Copenhagen. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial and contractual accountability of donor-funded humanitarian projects around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and advise DCA finance staff on finance-related matters and donor requirements
  • Develop and improve financial procedures, guidelines, and formats
  • Ensure compliance with donor and internal requirements, quality of proposals, contracts, and budgets
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting to donors, and preparation of financial audits
  • Participate in organizational change or process improvement projects, and provide administrative support
Requirements
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, audit, economy, or equivalent
  • Experience with ERP systems, financial planning and reporting, and financial risk management
  • Ability to implement and monitor policies and procedures in challenging environments
  • Fluent spoken and written English, and French is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills, literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, including data analysis
Working Environment

The weekly work time is 37 hours, including lunch break. The headquarters work from Monday to Friday, with core business hours from 9:00 to 15:00. Flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home are offered.

Salary and Benefits

The gross salary will lie between 400,000 DKK and 550,000 DKK annually, excluding employer pension contribution. A pleasant work environment, social engagement with colleagues, and opportunities for professional growth are also offered.
