About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Audit Specialist to join our team at Bold Business. As a Fiber Audit Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting thorough audits of our fiber optic network infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of fiber optic cables, including identification, testing, and documentation of cable routes, splicing records, and test results.
- Verify the correct number of fibers and ports are present and perform non-intrusive testing using an Optical Fiber Identifier to ensure light is passing through the fiber.
- Collaborate with our engineering and technical teams to identify and resolve issues found during the audit.
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, cable routes, and test results.
- Compile audit findings into comprehensive reports, highlighting issues found against existing records.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, including ANSI/TIA and ISO/IEC.
Requirements:
- Technical knowledge of fiber optics, including types of fiber cables, topologies, and cable handling and installation.
- Experience with testing for presence of light using an Optical Fiber Identifier.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to diagnose and identify issues found during the audit.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills, with ability to compile audit findings into comprehensive reports.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively within a team.
