We are seeking a highly skilled Public Policy and Sustainable Development Consultant to support the implementation of a project aimed at enhancing the State of Alagoas' engagement towards sustainable and inclusive urban prosperity.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a comprehensive work plan for the consultancy process.
- Study public policy observatories and indicators relevant to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the state.
- Map strategic public policies developed and implemented by the Government of Alagoas.
- Analyze the current situation regarding SDGs in the state, including existing data and policies, and their compatibility with the SDGs.
- Define a strategic vision and develop feasible recommendations aligned with achieving the SDGs in the territory.
- Prepare the Voluntary Local Report (VLR), aligning the Government of Alagoas' priority policies with the 2030 Agenda, using UN-Habitat's tools for VLR development.
The consultant will be responsible for completing all required courses and training activities indicated by their supervisor. Familiarization with United Nations security mechanisms and compliance with them according to the Framework of Accountability for the United Nations Security Management System is also essential.
