gener8tor is currently seeking a highly skilled Matchmaking Coordinator to support their startup and investor events. This position will focus on the logistics and recruitment necessary to make these events successful.

The ideal candidate will be a self-directed professional capable of managing their own time, tools, and methods to deliver agreed-upon outcomes. We expect you to bring your own best practices and operate with a high degree of autonomy while aligning with project timelines and key performance goals.

This is an independent contractor position, requiring the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The coordinator will support the Director of Events to ensure successful events per year.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. They will be able to proactively source, filter, and send one-on-one emails to hundreds of high-quality startups and investors per event, ensuring a strong pool of participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Matchmaking: Source, filter, and send emails to startups and investors; drive signups to meet matchmaking targets; review startup profiles and investor theses to design curated matches.
  • Logistics and Communications: Manage event logistics, including backend configuration, communications, and coordination with staff; provide lead-up and day-of support for smooth event execution.
  • Support and Collaboration: Support the Director of Events on outreach and logistical efforts; collaborate with teammates across programs.
