Transform the safety of open pit mining operations with your expertise in drill and blast processes.
Key Responsibilities- Blast design, including drill patterns, burden, spacing, subdrill, stemming, and initiation sequences.
- Explosive selection and handling, including ANFO, emulsions, boosters, detonators, and primers.
- Initiation systems, including electronic blasting systems and timing control.
- Drill rigs and equipment, including capabilities, maintenance, bit selection, and effects on hole deviation and blasting outcomes.
- Risk assessment methodologies, including FMEA, Bowtie, and HAZID techniques.
Collaborate with our team to provide technical advice on drill & blast processes and support a larger transformation project.
Requirements- Proficient in designing drill patterns, burden, spacing, subdrill, stemming, and initiation sequences.
- Solid experience with ANFO, emulsions, boosters, detonators, and primers.
- Familiarity with advanced electronic blasting systems, including timing control and vibration management.
- Knowledge of drill rig capabilities, maintenance, bit selection, and their effect on hole deviation and blasting outcomes.
- Application of FMEA, Bowtie, or HAZID techniques for risk assessment.
