Job Title: Head of Customs and Compliance Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Customs and Compliance Manager to lead our customs organization in the South American region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customs, taxes, and controlling, with experience in leading multinational expert teams. They will be responsible for developing and executing customs strategies, building and managing regional customs teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute customs strategies to ensure compliance and reduce duty obligations.
  • Build and manage regional customs teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement customs governance frameworks.
  • Provide strategic advice and support on customs-related matters.
  • Represent the company on trade-related government consultations and industry associations.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
  • A university degree in business, finance, or informatics, or an interdisciplinary education.
  • At least 7 years of corporate experience in customs, taxes, controlling, or finance, or 5 years of experience working for a multinational business advisory company.
  • Experience in leading multinational expert teams both locally and remotely.
  • A high degree of social competence, including good communication skills, openness, and cooperative leadership style.
  • Fluent English language skills.
