Purchasing Role
The procurement specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing equipment/services in line with project requirements while ensuring compliance with group supply chain strategy processes.
Responsibilities- Understand contractual requirements and develop bid packages with relevant disciplines;
- Ensure vendor qualification processes are conducted according to company rules;
- Issue requests for quotation, expedite, and collect offers from bidders;
- Analyze offers and identify areas for commercial or contractual clarifications to facilitate discussion and alignment with company requirements;
- Develop recommendations for bidder selection based on input from relevant disciplines and assessment of offered costs, technical requirements, and delivery time in accordance with company ethics and compliance rules;
- Ensure tactical management of the procurement process is conducted appropriately and in full compliance with company working procedures;
- Perform financial/commercial analysis of current scenarios, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend alternatives to drive final purchase decisions;
- Conduct internal contract checkpoints throughout purchase order execution to ensure contractual protections are in place and minimize contractual/financial risks;
- Manage claims with vendors and develop settlement plans;
Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant engineering or business administration field;
Solid experience as a procurement specialist;
Desired familiarity with purchasing systems and experience in procurement procedures;
