We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to lead our infrastructure team in managing and modernizing our hybrid infrastructure environment. This remote position requires an experienced professional with deep expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead infrastructure projects including migrations from cloud to on-premises and cloud to cloud environments">
  • Manage and optimize VMware and Hyper-V environments spanning 400+ VMs">
  • Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions including VMs, networking, and storage">
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for automated provisioning and management">
  • Evaluate and implement infrastructure management tools to replace/enhance current deployment">
  • Ensure backup and disaster recovery strategies are implemented and tested regularly">
  • Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams on Kubernetes container workload infrastructure">
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages">
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and implement improvements for reliability and efficiency">
  • Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture and processes">
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure issues">

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ">
  • 8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience">
  • Expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V platforms">
  • Strong experience managing hybrid workloads across on-premises and cloud environments">
  • Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure services (VMs, VNets, Storage, Load Balancers)">
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform">
  • Automation and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)">
  • Solid experience with both Windows Server and Linux operating systems, with emphasis on Windows">
  • Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting">
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions">
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills">
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities">
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment">
  • Must be able to read and speak fluently in English">
