Required Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in relational database design, with PostgreSQL at the core.
  • Strong command of SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with schema normalization/denormalization and partitioning strategies.
  • Familiarity with backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Solid understanding of security practices: encryption, access controls, and auditing.
  • Background in designing for multi-tenant or large-scale transactional systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with replication, logical decoding, or offline-first synchronization patterns.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL internals and extension ecosystem.
  • Comfort working in cloud-native environments with CI/CD and containerized deployments.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts for reporting/analytics.
