Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cloud operations and innovation group, you will be responsible for managing a team of technicians who install, deploy, replace, and maintain equipment in our data centers.

As a Datacenter Technician Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily operations of your team, ensuring that all tasks are completed within established service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • People Management
  • You will be responsible for empowering and holding your team accountable for their work, modeling best practices, leading regular team meetings, and cross-discipline collaboration.
  • Provide guidance on standard processes and procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment.
  • Monitor the status of work across your team and ensure compliance with data center services business unit and service-level policies, procedures, deadlines, and service change policies.

Data Center Operations:

  • Review process changes to evaluate impact on service execution and share relevant information about change with stakeholders across functions and disciplines.
  • Assign tasks to technicians and monitor progress against KPIs and established SLAs.
  • Analyze data related to technicians' performance on tickets and share with operations management.

Service Delivery:

  • Ensure technicians are trained on procedures for installation, deployment, replacement, and post-execution quality check processes.
  • Investigate root causes of issues that may have impacted SLAs and take proactive corrective action.
  • Ensure tasks assigned to technicians are appropriate for their individual capabilities and they have access to and complete relevant training.

Managing Services:

  • Exercise awareness and discretion to contribute to issue tracking, follow-up, and resolution; accountable for service compliance and quality; escalate issues through appropriate channels, follow-up on issue resolution, and share knowledge related to issue resolution with appropriate teams.
  • Monitors services tickets and KPIs and reports trends and service anomalies.
  • Lead team and triage meetings, prioritize work across your team, and rebalance priorities to respond to changes.

Data Center Work Environment:

  • Conduct daily safety briefings, complete required safety training, and participate in on-site safety committees; ensure technicians are complying with safety procedures.
