Senior Biologist

Aquatic Resource Specialist

We are seeking an Aquatic Resource Specialist to lead our team in delivering expert aquatic resource delineations and permitting services. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex biological/aquatic resource impact analyses and mitigation planning projects.

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee aquatic resource delineations;
• Develop and review reports summarizing methodology, field survey results, and recommendations;
• Represent the organization in agency meetings and public hearings as a subject matter expert for aquatic resource delineations and permitting;

• Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, botany, environmental science, or related natural resources field;
• A minimum of 12 years' experience preparing and focusing on aquatic delineations and identifying wetland mapping boundaries using the 1987 US Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and Regional Supplements;

• Master's degree in biology, ecology, botany, environmental science, or related natural resources field;
• Leadership and strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment;

This is a full-time position that can be located out of any of our offices. We offer a competitive salary range depending on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment: This role operates in a remote or office-based setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role requires prolonged sitting or standing in an office or remote office setting, bending, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 35 lbs unassisted; 50 lbs in a team lift (two or more employees).
