Maintain an automated material handling system and ensure continuous operation by troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and performing preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the reliability of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System by maintaining all systems and subsystems. Troubleshoot and repair equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and replace fieldbus communication components on conveyor systems, including addressing components and running diagnostics. Remove and replace mechanical parts such as repairing broken chain, belting, rollers, drive motors, realigning or replacing control system sensors (photo-eyes), proximity sensors, etc.
- Update software parameters for PLC product lines and other like components, such as industrial PCs or server-based controls. Replace electronic sensors and reprogram them as necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and adjustments on robotic arms and End Of Arm Tools. Maintain conveyor equipment with regular maintenance actions as directed.
- Document repairs, PMs, parts usage, and time by completing work orders in a computerized maintenance management system. Ensure cleanup of equipment and removal of replaced parts from work areas after repairs are completed.
- Support and train fellow automation technicians in troubleshooting and repairs as needed, consistent with level of experience and training.
