About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our Commercial & Operations team at ExxonMobil Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software applications that adhere to industry standards and best practices.
  • Analyze and debug technical issues to ensure the integrity of our software applications.
  • Manage the Continuous Integration (CI) process to ensure seamless deployment of software applications.
  • Provide high-level estimates for release planning and detailed estimates for story development.
  • Collaborate with QA to design test strategies and write automated tests.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure Agile development practices are followed.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of Java OOP with Spring Boot Frameworks.
  • Experience with containers and CNCF related technology such as Kubernetes, Openshift, Docker.
  • Database knowledge in one of the following: PostgreSQL, Mongo, Cosmos.
  • Major CI/CD Tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
  • Microservice or API development: RESTFul.
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud or other Cloud platform.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines for Cloud (Azure: ADF).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Messaging queue: Kafka, Azure Event Hub.
  • Infrastructure as a Code: Terraform.
  • Scala for distributor domain only.

Soft Skills

  • Good command of English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good collaboration and teamwork.
  • Self-learner and proactive.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.

Work Experience

  • 2+ year hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining quality programs for Web applications on Cloud platforms using Java with Spring Boot and Spring Frameworks.

Education

  • Computer Science, Computer Engineer, or equivalent.
