Key Responsibilities
  • Leading month end and year end closing activities by ensuring all payments are properly approved prior to payment.
  • Verifying transactions to ensure accounting treatment aligns with IFRS and internal regulations, managing cash flow effectively.
  • Reviewing general ledger accounts making necessary journal entries including posting monthly quarterly and yearly accruals.
  • Preparing and recording accounts payable accounts receivable and fixed assets entries by compiling and analyzing account information accurately.
  • Posting payroll entries reconciling social charges bonus accruals and payouts on time.
  • Analyzing and reviewing company expenditures providing timely financial reports.
  • Producing error-free accounting reports presenting results clearly.
  • Participating in financial standards setting and forecast processes to drive business growth.
  • Providing support for internal customers and external auditors ensuring compliance with IFRS and FIFA Accounting principles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Proven experience as an accounting supervisor or senior accountant with 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience in an international environment with exposure to Event Finance advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using/maintaining a financial ERP model e.g. SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills able to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
  • High sense of responsibility ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
  • Focus on accuracy timeliness attention to detail confidentiality and right to work in Brazil.
